Not to be confused with Solomon's wisdom.
One of the books of the Bible considered apocryphal by Jerome-supporting Protestants though accepted by Orthodox Christians.
Compiled perhaps about 100 B.C.
Represents an elaboration of the teaching about wisdom found in Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, but in its doctrines, it is considered closer to Greek than to Hebrew thought.
The book was read widely in the early Christian era.
